I provide tailored psychotherapy for children/adolescents and their families.I have been working along side families for over 30 years in both urban and suburban settings including homeschooled, public and privately educated children. I have extensive knowledge of schools, special education laws and process. I am an empathic, down to earth individual who creates a safe, relaxed and warm environment for my clients.

As a mother of two children, I understand how difficult it can be to be a parent. My approach is to help act as a coach/collaborator for parents by helping support them manage emotional and behavioral issues.I look at the entire picture holistically with regards to my client's lives, family, school and peer relations as well as biological, developmental, cultural, psychological and other factors that have occurred or are occurring in the child's life.Through the development of learning new skills and techniques children/adolescents can be empowered to deal with the stresses of life, growth and development.I work to help my clients be the best they can be in all of their life settings.

With over 15 years of experience, I specialize in supporting children, adolescents, and families as they grow, heal, and thrive. I offer a holistic, trauma informed approach to therapy that integrates cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), talk therapy, art-therapy, and play-therapy techniques to meet each client’s unique needs.

Helping children feel safe and supported is central to my work. I do this by building rapport, which allows them to open up and engage in the therapeutic process.

As a mother, I understand the challenges that come with parenting. I offer parenting support to help guide and empower you as your child navigates their own growth, emotions, and experiences.

As I often say, we must first “Start by Starting.”Taking the next step forward can feel overwhelming, but meaningful change begins with intention.
